Photographer in Cambridge is a BTS photographer covering film, TV, concerts and live events across Cambridgeshire and within about 50 miles. The images show the crew, the kit and the candid moments the audience never sees, ready for press, promotion and social media.
Behind-the-Scenes (BTS) Photography
With a sharp eye for detail, Photographer in Cambridge reveals the creative process behind a production through behind-the-scenes photography. This includes rehearsals, camera and sound crews, make-up, set life and candid offstage moments. The images work well for press packs, social media and the making-of story of a project.
Unit Stills and Set Photography
On film and television productions, Photographer in Cambridge works as a Unit Stills Photographer, also known as a Set Photographer. The production is documented discreetly while filming is under way, with the photographer working quietly alongside camera and sound. For BTS videographer coverage alongside stills, see Video Production Cambridge.
BTS at Concerts and Live Events
Backstage and offstage moments add depth to a music event, from soundchecks and crew at work to artists preparing to go on. For performance images from the front of house and on stage, see the concert and stage photography page.

Frequently Asked Questions
A Unit Stills Photographer, or Set Photographer, documents a production discreetly while filming is underway. This means capturing behind-the-scenes images and cast and crew at work. The resulting publicity stills are used for press, marketing and social media once the production is released. The role requires working quietly alongside camera and sound without disrupting takes.
Yes, behind-the-scenes and set photography is treated as confidential. Images are held back from public use, including portfolio and social media. They stay unreleased until the production team or client confirms they’re cleared.
BTS stills are photographs of the crew, kit and candid moments on set or backstage. BTS video is moving footage of the same behind-the-scenes story, usually edited into a short making-of film. Many productions use both, and Photographer in Cambridge can cover either.
